The Torrance Theatre Company celebrates its 20th Anniversary with a journey to the enchanted world of Broadway’s modern classic, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, this stage version includes all of the wonderful songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, that you know and love, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice. This is the classic story of a vain and narcissistic prince, who turned into a monster, along with others in his castle, only to be taught about kindness and love by an unsuspecting visitor, a young girl, Belle, who melts his heart and causes the red rose which holds the key to his transformation, to change. Follow the action of how Belle travels from a small village to search for her father, and stumbles upon the forbidding castle and is held prisoner. Don’t miss this suspense filled tale of good over evil.
