The annual Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count takes place over three days and three nights in January every year, made possible through the partnerships of the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, Local Municipalities, Law Enforcement, and Community Members. This annual census of the homeless population and the data collected helps organizations advocate for the homeless and allocate the resources needed to help end this epidemic.
The City of Torrance will be sponsoring a deployment site on January 22, 2019 from 8 PM-midnight.
Community members interested in volunteering do not need any prior experience—staff and coordinators will train all volunteers, partner new volunteers with experienced ones, and provide refreshments.
