DESCRIPTION:<p>The After School Club Program operates August 26, 2021 – June 16, 2022 and is geared towards youth in elementary and middle schools. This recreation program is designed to promote self-esteem through group interaction and self-expression. Activities include homework time, arts and crafts, games, sports and community service projects. The program is available for students in grades 1-8 and for kindergartners attending Carr and Torrance Elementary.</p><p>This program is based on a ratio of one staff member per ten youth at Elementary School and one staff member per thirteen youth at Middle Schools. Enrollment is limited at all schools.</p><p>All participants must be a student at the school for which they are registering and also must be picked up by an adult, age 18 or older.</p><ul>    <li>Resident walk-in registration begins August 3, 2021.</li>    <li>Resident Mail-In/Fax-In Registration: July 7-15, 2021.</li>    <li>Non-resident walk-in registration begins August 10, 2021.</li></ul><p>Applications are available online at <a href="https://arts.torranceca.gov/?navid=367">www.TorranceCA.Gov/AfterSchool</a></p><p>To have an application mailed to you or for further information, please call (310) 618-2720.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
