Torrance Neighborhood Outdoor Warning Sirens
TorranceNOW Sirens are part of the overall Torrance Community Warning System, which includes Torrance Alerts, Torrance Refining Company Siren, Crenshaw/Del Amo Barrier System, CitiSOUNDS radio, CitiCABLE, Emergency Alert System, and the recently tested Beach Emergency Evacuation Lights System (BEELS).
TorranceNOW includes eight sirens strategically located in the City at fire stations, Southeast Library, and one at the corner of Lomita Boulevard and Madison Street. TorranceNOW Sirens is designed for early warning to the community in the event there is a significant emergency requiring a call-to-action.
TorranceNOW Sirens will be audibly tested on Thursday, September 14. at 10:00 AM.
