DESCRIPTION:<p>Join us In PERSON on&nbsp;Saturday, October 12, 2024,&nbsp;for a free Rainwater Capture workshop hosted by The Water Replenishment District of Southern California and Madrona Marsh Nature Center.</p><p>We do get rain in California, but unfortunately, the amount we hold on to is minimal. This webinar focuses on best management practices for passive and active capturing of rainwater in the landscape. Join us and learn about:</p><ol>    <li>    <ol>        <li>Criteria and considerations in selecting a rainwater capture method</li>        <li>Working with cisterns</li>        <li>Designing swales and berms (calculations, setbacks, installation)</li>        <li>Directing water into rain gardens</li>    </ol>    </li></ol><p>The class is free, but&nbsp;advance&nbsp;registration is required.
