DESCRIPTION:One weekend only, March 1 & 2, 2025, Ballet California brings dance to Torrance.  Contemporary dances from seven choreographers will be performed on stage by Ballet California.<br/>Seda Aybay brings us a premiere of her “In the Blink of Epiphany,” on how to break an imagination drought. A new work by Kristen McLaughlin, “Shush” examines the art of silence. Also a new piece by Bruce McCormick, “Revolutionary Premonitions” with it’s classical flare and piano music.<br/>“Circus Shostakovich” returns to the stage this year after a long hiatus.   Originally choreographed by Tina Drucker, this fun and whimsical ballet features horses, strong men, plate twirlers and so much more.<br/>Additionally, two new pieces of work from emerging choreographers which were chosen from the Benefactor’s Evening are set to perform - “Blurred Sunset” by Stella Guerrero & Charlize Zavaleta, as well as “Rose Toes” by Alec Talbott.  <br/>
