DESCRIPTION:<p>&nbsp;The feel good musical comedy smash based on the hit 1992 film that has audiences jumping to their feet! &nbsp;Featuring original music by Tony and eight-time Oscar winner, Alan Menken, this uplifting musical was nominated for five Tony Awards including Best Musical. &nbsp;</p><p>The play is based on the 1992 film of the same name, Sister Act which tells the story of aspiring disco lounge singer and diva, Deloris Van Cartier, who is struggling to work her way to the top in 1970's Philadelphia. Deloris falls in love with a tough, and very married, gangster named Curtis. After witnessing him commit a murder, Deloris ends up in hiding under police protection in a convent whose parish has fallen on hard times.
