DESCRIPTION:WMoF Celebrity Series: World’s Highest, World’s Fastest Turbine Jet<br/><br/>Lockheed’s Blackbird and Skunk Works Pilot, Maury Rosenberg, and RSO, Ed McKim, unveil the mysteries, theories and conjectures of flying the world’s highest and fastest turbine powered jet aircraft.<br/><br/>One of those mysteries was how does the US surveil the Soviet Union enthralling the cavernous Russian territories during the Cold War? The USD turned to Lockhead’s Skunk Works Division for a black ops project.  Lockheed was tasked to develop an aircraft that could fly higher then any other but be effective.  It had to be fastest enough to cover all of Russia quickly.  Oh, it also had to go undetected and avoid any confrontation with our Russian counterparts.<br/><br/>From the guys who brought you the U-2, the answer was the SR-71 Blackbird. To operate this exotic and mysterious aircraft took a special breed of highly capable individuals. Two such individuals will unravel for us some of the mysteries of the capabilities and missions of these fantastic machines, as well as the special qualities of the people who flew them.
