There is public art in the  City of Torrance in publicly accessible places and in many schools managed by the Torrance Unified School District. Although Torrance does not have a formal Percent for Art policy, the City has commissioned artists for site specific work and accepted donations of artwork.

The following list briefly depicts and describes works that you can find throughout the City.

Memorial to John F. Kennedy, artist unknown.

Sculpture is a white marble panel with an image of John F. Kennedy and one of his famous quotations on the front with a small torch on top. Quotation is "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

Donated by Celia Pons to the City of Torrance on September 14, 1964.
