Women in the military. Progress may have been slow. Women have served with the US Armed Forces since the time of the American Revolution. Our speaker, Sandra Adams, Rear Admiral (Ret), will attest to life in the Navy and her rise thru the ranks. Millions of women and Admiral Adams is one of 109 total women to reach the rank of Rear Admiral. The opportunities are many and serve as an inspiration and motivation for ambitious young women from all walks of our society. Recently, 18 astronauts were selected for Artemis Team, the next group to go to the moon. Finally equality: nine men and nine women, four of which come from the military.
