In accordance with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Section 106 - 108 and planning guidance issued by the State of California, Employment Development Department for Local Area and Regional Plans, the South Bay Workforce Investment Board (SBWIB), a California Workforce Development Board, will open a public comment period to its Local Plan.

• The public comment period for the Local Plan will begin March 14, 2025, through April 14, 2025.

The comment period will allow the public to review and comment on the PY 2025-2028 Local Plan. The Local Area Plan represents the SBWIB Workforce Development Area and its consortium of eleven cities, including the cities of: Carson, El Segundo, Gardena, Hawthorne, Hermosa Beach, Inglewood, Lawndale, Lomita, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, and Torrance.

Posting of the 2025-2028 Local Plan will be available on March 14, 2025, online at www.sbwib.org . Public comments may be transmitted in writing to: jmunoz@sbwib.org
